Frequently Asked Questions

Can I export as a real Word document?

Yes. The DOCX export produces an HTML-based .doc file that opens correctly in Microsoft Word and LibreOffice Writer.

Can I extract text from a scanned PDF?

Yes. The PDF → Text mode detects scanned pages (no text layer) and automatically runs OCR using Tesseract.js to extract the text.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. All text editing, PDF generation, and text extraction happens in your browser using jsPDF and PDF.js. Nothing is sent to any server.
